aBOUT

In the manga and anime, Motoki is the kind, cheery-faced college student who works at the Crown Parlor. In the beginning of the series Usagi has something of a crush on him, as does Makoto and to an extent Minako. As time goes by Usagi becomes more interested in Mamoru and less in Motoki, but all of the girls still seem to dote on him throughout the series anyway. In the live-action show, the Crown Parlor has been modernized to Crown Karaoke, and Motoki works there. He is obsessed with turtles and loves his own pet turtle, Kamikichi. He is a bit more of a colorful character in this series and often serves as comic relief. His girlfriend Reika is non-existant in the live action show, and so he and Makoto begin to show signs of developing a thing for each other. Motoki is also very kind, as he gives the recently-humanized Nephrite a job and is extremely patient with him.
